Chinese astrological I Ching reading: 6/5/16

6/5 is the first day of the mid-summer month, this year, the month of Wood Horse. It is also the beginning of the solar term called Ear on Corn.
Wood Horse month has Three Shars, or Three Killings, whose directions are to the northwest, north, and northeast. It is best to avoid disturbing the ground in these directions by building, planting, or digging, especially in the beginning days of this month, as to do so can bring up misfortune from the earth.
6/5 is the day of Earth Horse in the month of Wood Horse. This is a peak day. It brings out the strongest Chi of Horse, Horse being the most active sign. The energy of this day is very high, but restless, and discordant. The combination Earth Horse with Wood Horse is sharply discordant. It can bring unanticipated changes. It also contains two Knife Blade Stars, signifying restlessness, impatience and anger. The Chi at the beginning of this month is highly disturbed. It may signal arguing, fighting, turbulent weather, and seismic activity in the coming days. Today day is marked as inauspicious, yet a day for establishing. This means it is a day in which you can start something that you will later come to regret. It has Heaven and Earth Drilling Sha, or adverse Chi, making it an unuseful for anything of major importance, and warning of legal problems, gossip, malicious rumors, and ill health. It is also bad for travel or moving house. Unfavorable directions are northwest, southeast, south, and north.
This day is good for simple, small things like cleaning, gardening, planning, and delaying. The favorable directions are southwest and northeast.
Horse favors Horse, Tiger, Sheep, and Snake; is neutral toward Monkey, Rooster, Pig, Rabbit, and Dragon; and clashes with Horse, Rat, and Ox.
The I Ching hexagram for this day, using the King Wen method, is number 60, line 1.

Hexagram 60 is Ji Limitation. Limitation is successful. Excessive limitation must not be used.

Line 1 Not to go out is blameless. The zodiac sign of line 1, Snake, is strong by the element of the season, and, by the element of the hexagram, denotes money or the object of desire. Snake is in harmony with the sign of the day and month. This is a triple Fire combination. It signifies a projection of the most intense cosmic energy. The Earth of Earth Horse day puts a worm in line 1. This tells you to slow down, and use the energy cautiously and constructively.
