Chinese astrological I Ching reading: 6/21/16

6/21 is the day of Wood Dog in the month of Wood Horse. This is a harmonious combination. It is good for independent creative activity and speculation. This is a very lucky day for people born in a day of Wood Dog. It's lucky for making important moves.
This day is designated as excellent and stable. It is good for everybody for all major activities, including beginning renovations, ground breaking and digging, moving house, fengshui adjustments, opening a new business, and burials. Positive actions taken today will eventually bring career promotions, an increase in wealth, and the birth of good children. Favorable directions are west, northwest, north, southeast, and south.
The day is bad for retreat, solitude, arguments, and recklessness. Unfavorable directions are northeast and southwest.
Dog, the sign of this day, is the Star of Art for Tiger, Horse, and Dog. If you were born in a year or day of one of these three signs, this is an especially good day for creative work.
Dog favors Dog , Tiger, Horse, Rabbit, and Monkey; is neutral toward Pig, Rat, and Snake; clashes with Ox, Dragon, and Sheep; and is ambivalent toward Rooster.
The I Ching hexagram for this day, using the King Wen method, is number 40, line 2.

Hexagram 40 is Jie, Release. This hexagram is very good for those born in the month of Ox. If going forward is not necessary, come back. If going forward is necessary, timely action brings good fortune.

Line 2 advises overcoming ignorance, greed, and anger, and following the middle course. The zodiac sign of line 2, Dragon, is weak by the element of the season, and, by the element of the hexagram, signifies money. Dragon clashes with the sign of the day and is in harmony with the sign of the month. Hidden reserves, later gains. No need to force things. Good comes eventually. The Wood of Wood Dog day puts a raven in line 2. Avoid an argument.
