Chinese astrological I Ching reading: 7/1/16

7/1 is the day of Wood Monkey in the month of Wood Horse. This is a harmonious combination. It favors metaphysical research and art.
This day is designated as auspicious and full. It is a good day for moving house, house warming parties, installing new equipment, opening a business, official openings, traveling, and debt collecting. It is fair for marriage.
The day is bad for lawsuits, taking out loans, demolitions, and ground breaking.
It is the day of the lunar mansion, Gui, or Ghost. Gui makes it bad to travel to the west and to start construction of new buildings. It is good, however, for burials and for occult research and metaphysical work.
Monkey, the sign of the day, is the Traveling Star for Tiger, Horse, and Dog. If you were born in a year or day of one of these three signs, this is a good day for moving forward in your career and traveling. Try to avoid traveling westward, however.
Monkey favors Monkey, Rat, Dragon, Rooster, and Dog; is neutral toward Ox, Rabbit, Horse, and Sheep; and clashes with Pig, Tiger, and Snake.
Today's I Ching hexagram, using the King Wen method, is number 27, line 4.

Hexagram 27 is Yi, Jaws. Good luck persevering. Pay attention to nourishment, both by food and by words.

Line 4 Nourishment at the top of the mountain. Good fortune. Staring around like a hungry tiger. No error. The zodiac sign of line 4, Dog, is strong by the element of the season, and, by the element of the hexagram, signifies money, or object of desire. Dog is in partial clash with the signs of changing lines, 3 and 5, and is in harmony with the signs of the day and month. Wealth is properly attained. The Wood of Wood Monkey day puts a snake in line 4. Pay attention to all details. If you are signing a contract, or putting yourself under obligation, weigh it carefully.
