Chinese astrological I Ching reading: 1/17/17

1/17 is the day of Wood Dragon in the month of Metal Ox. This is a clashing combination. It favors trade,  investment, entrepreneurship, and commercial matters.
This day is designated as inauspicious and balancing. What begins well may end badly. Major activities probably should be avoided.
A balance day is when both sides are equally favored.
The lunar mansion is Yi, Wing. It does not favor anything.
If you were born in a year or day of Monkey, Rat, or Dragon, this day is good for artistic or creative work.
Dragon, the sign of the day, is in harmony with Monkey, Rat, Tiger, and Rooster; neutral with Snake, Horse, Sheep, Pig, and Ox; clashes with Dragon and Dog; and is ambivalent with Rabbit.
The I Ching hexagram for this day, using the King Wen method, is number 20, line 4.

Hexagram 20 is Guan, Observation. The ablution is done but not the sacrifice. People look up to him with great sincerity.

Line 4 a broad outlook is useful. The zodiac sign of line 4 is Sheep. By the element of the season, Sheep is weak. By the element of the hexagram, Sheep signifies support, Sheep partly clashes with the signs of changing line, 5, neutral toward the sign of the day, and clashes with the sign of the month. Power of the Earth is great. Reflect on the ancestors. The Wood of Wood Dragon day puts a snake in line 4. Proceed cautiously. Pay attention to details.
