Chinese astrological I Ching reading: 1/21/17

1/21 is the day of Earth Monkey in the month of Metal Ox. This is a harmonious combination. It favors competitiveness.
This day is designated as inauspicious and dangerous. It is bad for all major activities, but ok for minor repairs and burial.
A danger day is traditionally used for religious worship, and bed positioning in fengshui.
The lunar mansion is Di, Foundation. If one engages in renovation or construction on this day, the property may end up a fire hazard.
If you were born in a year or day of Tiger, Horse, or Dog, this day may be busy for you.
Monkey, the sign of this day, is in harmony with Monkey, Rat, Dragon, Rooster, and Dog; neutral to Ox, Rabbit, Horse, and Sheep; and clashes with Pig, Tiger, and Snake.
The I Ching hexagram for this day, using the King Wen method, is number 13, line 3.

Hexagram 13 is Tongren, Fellowship. Fellowship in the open. Success. It is good fortune now to cross the great water. The perseverance of the superior man brings success.

Line 3 He hides his weapons in a thicket and climbs a high hill. Three years of adversity. You need to reclarify your aims if mistrust has arisen. The zodiac sign for line 3 is Pig. By the element of the season, Pig is strong. By the element of the hexagram, Pig denotes power. Pig is for the most part in harmony with the signs of changing lines, 2 and 4, clashes with the sign of the day, and is harmonious with the sign of the month. Unproductive order of elements. Don't waste your time. The Earth of Earth Monkey day puts a tiger in line 3. Danger lurks for the heedless.
