Chinese astrological I Ching reading: 1/20/17

1/20 is the day of Fire Sheep in the month of Metal Ox. This is a clashing combination that favors artists.
This day is designated as excellent and destruction. It is good for groundbreaking, marriage, moving house, opening a business, and so on.
A destruction day is good for demolishing a building.
The lunar mansion is Kang, Neck. It is entirely unfavorable. Good for nothing. This day is tricky.
If you were born in a year or day of Pig, Rabbit, or Sheep, this is a good day for creative work.
Sheep, the sign for this day, is in harmony with Sheep, Pig, Rabbit, Horse, and Snake; neutral with Monkey, Rooster, Tiger, and Dragon; clashes with Ox and Dog; and is ambivalent with Rat.
The I Ching hexagram for this day, using the King Wen method, is number 2, line 6.

Hexagram 2 is Kun, the Earth. Sublime success. The firmness of a mare is advantageous. If you take the initiative you go astray. If you follow you find guidance. Favorable friends are found in the southwest, but those in the northeast will be lost. Gentle persistence leads to good fortune.

Line 6 Contending with a true dragon results in black and yellow blood. Attempts to lead are dangerous when one is destined to follow. The zodiac signs for line 6 are Rooster and Tiger. By the element of the season, Rooster is weak and Tiger is strong. By the element of the hexagram, Rooster signifies resources, and Tiger signifies money. Rooster is neutral with the sign for the day and in harmony with the sign for the month. Tiger is neutral with the signs of the day and month. Metal cuts Wood cracking Earth. Danger abounds, be wary. Nonetheless, The Fire of Fire Sheep day puts a dragon in line 6 favoring cautious but positive action.
