Chinese astrological I Ching reading: 1/6/17

1/6 is the day of Water Snake in the month of Metal Ox. This is a harmonious combination. It favors standing up to your challenges.
This day is designated as auspicious and stable. It is good for landscaping, less auspicious for marriage, opening a business, travel, or moving house.
A stable day is good for starting activities that will last a long time like marriage, getting a pet, seeking medical treatment, and so on.
The lunar mansion is Lou, Mound. It is highly favorable, and good for marriage, business deals, renovations and building.
If you were born in a year or day of Pig, Rabbit, or Sheep, this is a busy day, good to accomplish much, and possibly travel.
Snake, the sign of this day, is in harmony with Snake, Rooster, Ox, Horse, and Sheep; neutral with Dog, Rat, Rabbit, and Dragon; and clashes with Pig, Monkey, and Tiger.
The I Ching hexagram for this day, using the King Wen method, is number 26, line 2.

Hexagram 26 is Daxu, Great Restraining. It is a good time for persevering. Not eating at home is good luck. It is good to cross the great water.

Line 2 The axles are taken from the wagon. The zodiac sign for line 2 is Tiger. By the element of the season, Tiger is strong. By the element of the hexagram, Tiger represents money. Tiger partially clashes with the signs of changing line, 5, clashes with the sign of the day, and is neutral toward the sign of the month. Fruits ripening in heaven. Polish up your ideas. Opportunity. The Water of Water Snake day puts a dragon in line 2. This is an auspicious sign. It is time to act.
