Chinese astrological I Ching reading: 1/5/17

1/5 is the day of Water Dragon in the month of Metal Ox. This is a harmonious combination. It favors people in government posts, and legislative fields.
This is the first day of the 12th solar month in the Chinese calendar. The 3 killing forces are in the eastern quadrant. Do not dig, renovate, or disturb the ground in the northeast, east, or southeast to prevent harmful energies from becoming unleashed now.
This day is designated as an auspicious and balanced day. What begins well could end badly, however. The day is only moderately suitable for such as marriage, starting work, travel, moving house, and so on.
A balance day is indifferent to both sides.
The lunar mansion is Kui, Astride. Not fortunate for business, it favors travel and renovations.
If you were born in a year or day of Monkey, Rat, or Dragon, this day is good for you if you are creatively active.
Dragon, the sign of this day, is in harmony with Monkey, Rat, Tiger, and Rooster; neutral toward Snake, Horse, Sheep, Pig, and Ox; clashes with Dragon and Dog; and is ambivalent with Rabbit.
The I Ching hexagram for this day, using the King Wen method, is number 8, line 3.

Hexagram 8 is Bi, Unity. Good fortune. You should make sure by asking the oracle if you have high standards and constant persistence. If you do, everything is good. The uncertain gradually join. Those who come too late lose out.

Line 3 Your loyalties are to the wrong people! The zodiac sign for line 3 is Rabbit. By the element of the season, Rabbit is strong. By the element of the hexagram, Rabbit signifies power. Rabbit is harmonious with the signs of changing line, 5, ambivalent with the sign of the day and neutral with the sign of the month. Wood shades great acres. Earth enriched. Sincerity brings fortune. The Water of Water Dragon day puts a raven in line 3. Stay away from quarrels. There is jealousy.
