Daily Chinese astrological I Ching reading: 11/11/14

11/11 is the day of Fire Dog in the month of Wood Pig. Fire Dog is good for money making. The combination of Fire Dog and Wood Pig is harmonious, and favors being resourceful, working hard, and facing challenges head on. This combination also brings out Heaven Medicine Star. For people who are emotionally or physically weak or ill, this is not a good sign; they need to take care. For people who are strong it encourages them to consult an oracle. This is a good day to get a reading.
If you were born in a year or day of Tiger, Horse, or Dog, this is a good day for creative, inventive, artistic pursuits.
If you were born in a year or day of Pig, Rat, or Ox, this is a good day to rely on yourself and enjoy solitude.
If you were born in a year of Pig, Rabbit, or Sheep, this is not the best day for important meetings or events. Wear something black to mitigate the shar (bad luck) of the day.
Dog gets along harmoniously with Dog, Tiger, Horse, Rabbit, Monkey, and sometimes Rooster; neutrally with Rat. Snake, and Pig; and discordantly with Dragon, Ox, Sheep, and sometimes Rooster.
The I Ching hexagram for this day, using the King Wen method, is number 9, line 1.

Hexagram 9 is Xiaoxu, or Power of the Small, or Small Saving. It is extremely cloudy, but no rain yet. The time has not come. This hexagram is good in winter.

Line 1 If you have made a mistake or overstepped your boundary, return to what is right and fix the mistake. The zodiac signs of line 1, Rat and Ox, are in harmony with one another, clash with the signs of changing lines 4 and 6, have harmony with the sign for the day, Dog, and are in harmony with the sign for the month, Pig. The Fire of Fire Dog puts a raven in line 1, warning of a potential quarrel. If you are patient, and wait, progress will come later.

The elements of this hexagram are Wood, Metal, and Wood. Metal destroys Wood in all directions. Wait.
