Daily Chinese astrological I Ching reading: 11/09/14

11/09 is the day of Wood Monkey in the month of Wood Pig. This is a partially harmonious combination. It favors resourcefulness, independence, and money making. It mitigates otherwise negative influences, but tends to loneliness and worry especially for people born in a year or day of Snake, Horse, or Sheep.
If you were born in a year or day of Tiger, Horse, or Dog, this is a good day to travel, rearrange your home or work place, or step forward in your career.
If you were born in a year or day of Pig, Sheep, or Rabbit, be on the alert for opportunities, but, on the other hand, keep your eyes open to possibilities of theft of money, property, or ideas. If you were born in the year of Pig, Sheep, or Rabbit, this is not the best day for important meetings or events. Wear something black to help mitigate shar (bad luck).
Monkey gets along harmoniously with Monkey, Rat, Dragon, Rooster, and Dog; neutrally with Ox, Rabbit, Horse, and Sheep; and disharmoniously with Snake, Tiger, and Pig.
The I Ching hexagram for this day, by the King Wen method, is number 35, line 4.

Hexagram 35 is Jin, or Advancing. The prince is honored with large numbers of horses, and receives an audience with the king three times in a single day. It represents the opportunity to fulfill a goal.

Line 4 advises caution. If you try to advance too quickly you risk frustration. The zodiac signs in line 4, Rooster and Dog, clash with one another. The zodiac signs of the day and month, Monkey and Pig also clash with one another. The signs of line 4 are in a more or less favorable relation with the signs of the day and month. The Wood of Wood Monkey puts a snake in line 4, denoting something strange and hidden. Bottom line: proceed cautiously.

The elements of this hexagram are Metal, Earth, and Fire. The order of generation is reversed. Return to simplicity.
