Daily Chinese astrological I Ching reading: 2/14/15

2/14 is the day of Metal Rooster in the day of Fire Ox. This is a partly discordant combination. It favors independence and the ability to see hidden motives. Metal Rooster can get offended and bring up trouble in personal relationships as well as in marriage and with in-laws. Don't take anything personally. Be cheerful. Metal Rooster can also bring prosperity.
Rooster is the Star of Romance for Monkey, Rat, and Dragon. If you were born in a year or day of one of these three signs this is an interesting day for romantic affairs.
Rooster is the Commanding Star for Snake, Rooster, and Ox. If you were born in a year or day of one of these, this is a good day to take command and go forward in creative, professional directions.
Rooster favors Ox, Snake, Monkey, Dragon, and sometimes Dog; is neutral with Pig, Rat, Tiger, Horse, and Sheep; and clashes with Rooster, Rabbit, and sometimes Dog.
The I Ching hexagram for this day, using the King Wen method, is number 17, line 3.

Hexagram 17 is Sui, Following. Following has great success. It is advisable to persevere in what is correct.

Line 3 advises holding to high standards of behavior and avoiding pettiness. The zodiac sign for line 3, Dragon, is in harmony with the signs of changing lines 4, 5, and 6, and is in harmony with the signs for the day and month. The Metal of Metal Rooster day puts a dragon in line 3. Everything serves to further. The dragon is auspicious. Good luck.

The elements of this hexagram are Wood, Wood, and Metal. Know your strength.
