Daily Chinese astrological I Ching reading: 2/3/15

2/3 is the day of Metal Dog in the month of Fire Ox. This is a strongly discordant combination that can cause sudden changes. It favors looking beyond appearances. Metal Dog is highly capable, intelligent, and able to bring good luck. And while it may sometimes cause trouble in relationships, it can bring help, and resolve any difficulty.
Dog is the Star of Arts for Tiger, Horse, and Dog. If you were born in a year or day of one of these three signs, this is a good day for creative work. Make the most of it.
If you were born in a year or day of Pig, Rat, or Ox, this is a good day for solitude. Listen to yourself first.
Dog favors Dog, Tiger, Horse, Rabbit, Monkey, and sometimes Rooster; is neutral toward Pig, Rat, and Snake; and does not favor Dragon, Sheep, Ox, and sometimes Rooster.
The I Ching hexagram for this day, using the King Wen method, is number 52, line 6.

Hexagram 52 is Yin, Mountain, or Keeping Still. He keeps his back still like the mountain so he no longer feels his body. He goes into his courtyard and sees no one. No blame. This hexagram is good in winter.

Line 6 recommends practicing stillness and calm. The zodiac sign of line 6, Tiger, is in harmony with the signs of the day and month. The Metal of Metal Dog day puts a snake in line 6. Not everything is as it seems. There is something hidden. Reflect on it.

The elements of this hexagram are Earth, Earth, and Earth. Earth is strong. Consider your foundation. If it is strong it is good. Reflect on the relation of the past and the present, the causes and the present conditions. This may be highly fortunate.
