Daily Chinese astrological I Ching reading: 2/16/15

2/16 is the day of Water Pig in the month of Fire Ox. This is a partially discordant combination. It favors independence and the ability to face challenges squarely. Water Pig, however, is a Knife Blade combination. It warns against going to extremes, getting angry, and getting into quarrels.
Pig is the Traveling Star for Snake, Rooster, and Ox. If you were born in a year or day of one of these three signs, this could be a busy day. It favors traveling, rearranging your home or place of work, and making positive moves in your career.
Pig favors Rabbit, Sheep, Rat, Ox, and Tiger; is neutral with Dragon, Horse, Rooster, and Dog; and clashes with Pig, Snake, and Monkey.
The I Ching hexagram for this day, using the King Wen method, is number 61, line 4.

Hexagram 61 is Zhongfu, Inner Sincerity. Everyone understands this. It is basic. Good luck. It is time to cross the great water and to persevere.

Line 4 encourages deepening your sincerity and following your truth. The zodiac sign of line 4, Sheep, is in partial discord with the signs of changing lines, 1 and 6, and is in harmony with the signs of the day and month. The Water of Water Pig day puts a tortoise in line 4. Be patient.

The elements of this hexagram are Earth, Metal, and Wood. Bad luck is what good luck leans on. Good luck is what bad luck hides in.
