Daily Chinese astrological I Ching reading: 2/17/15

2/17 is the day of Wood Rat in the month of Fire Ox. This is a harmonious combination. It favors being resourceful and managing finances. Wood Rat promotes good fortune and wealth. It also helps resolve difficulties and get around troubles. The combination of Wood Rat and Fire Ox brings out Heaven Medicine Star. This is auspicious for healthy people, but warns those who are not well to pay attention to, and take care of their health now.
Rat is the Star of Romance for Pig, Rabbit, and Sheep. If you were born in a year or day of one of these three signs this is a good day for romantic affairs.
If you were born in a year or day of Monkey, Rat, or Dragon this is a good day to pursue creative and professional aims.
Rat favors Rat, Dragon, Monkey, Ox, Pig, and sometimes Sheep; is neutral with Tiger, Snake, Rooster, and Dog; and clashes with Rabbit, Horse, and sometimes Sheep.
The I Ching hexagram for this day, using the King Wen method, is number 57, line 6.

Hexagram 57 is Sun, Wind, Penetration. Success through what is small. It is good to be active and to see people in positions of influence.

Line 6 advises being decisive. Don't waste energy trying to find out more and more. Make up your mind and act. The zodiac sign for line 6, Rabbit, is in partial discord with the signs of changing line, 3, clashes with the sign for the day, and is neutral with the sign for the month. The Wood of Wood Rat day puts a tortoise in line 6. Pursue your goal and keep your business to yourself.

The elements of this hexagram are Wood, Wood, and Wood. The power of growth is strong. Help comes from many directions.
