Daily Chinese astrological I Ching reading: 2/4/15

2/4 is the first day of Chinese spring season. Spring, in the Chinese calendar, starts exactly midway betwen winter solstice and spring equinox.
2/4 is the day of Metal Pig in the lunar month of Fire Ox. This is a partially discordant combination. It favors doing research and creative work. Metal Pig is highly intelligent. It brings good fortune and prosperity, and favors love and pleasure.
Pig is the Traveling Star for Snake, Rooster, and Ox. If you were born in a year or day of one of these three signs this may be a busy day, good for traveling, rearranging your home or work place, and for moving forward in your career.
2/4, 5, and 6 are unfavorable days for people born in a year of Tiger, Horse, or Dog for important meetings or events. You are at a disadvantage and need to be careful that others don't take unfair advantage of you.
If you were born in a year of Monkey, Rat, or Dragon this is a good day for working out plans.
If you were born in a year or day of Monkey, Rooster, or Dog this is a good day to rely on yourself and enjoy solitude.
Pig favors Rabbit, Sheep, Rat, Ox, and Tiger; is neutral to Dragon, Horse, Rooster, and Dog; and is difficult for Pig, Snake, and Monkey.
The I Ching hexagram for this day, using the King Wen method, is number 52, line 6.

Hexagram 52 is Yin, Mountain. He keeps his back still like a mountain so he doesn't feel his body. He goes into the courtyard and sees nobody. No blame. This speaks of calmness and clarity.

Line 6 recommends stillness as the way to see everything clearly. The zodiac sign of line 6, Tiger, is in harmony with the signs of the day and month. The Metal of Metal Pig day puts a snake in line 6. Through clarity the mind can penetrate to what is hidden.

The elements of this hexagram are Earth, Earth, and Earth. Make sure your foundation is strong. Respect the ancestors. Good fortune.
