Daily Chinese astrological I Ching reading: 8/2/15
8/2 is the day of Metal Dog in the month of Water Sheep. This is a partly harmonious figure. It is highly social, skillful, commanding, and lucky. It resolves predicaments and attracts help. And it favors resourcefulness and hard work.
Dog is the Star of Art for Tiger, Horse, and Dog. If you were born in a year or day of one of these three signs this is a good day for creative work.
Dog generally favors Dog, Tiger, Horse, Rabbit, and Monkey; is neutral toward Pig, Rat, and Snake; clashes with Ox, Dragon, and Sheep; and is either good or bad with Rooster depending on circumstances.
Metal Dog day renders Tiger and Rabbit empty: it makes their luck uncertain.
The I Ching hexagram for this day, using the King Wen method, is number 37, line 2.
Hexagram 37 is Jiaren, the Family. The perseverance of a woman brings success.
Line 2 advises focusing on what is at hand and not letting yourself be distracted. The zodiac signs for line 2, Ox and Rabbit, are neutral together, in harmony with the signs of changing line, 3, and clash with the signs of the day and month. The situation is complicated. The Metal of Metal Dog day puts a tortoise in line 2. It favors secrecy. Concentrate on what is at hand, and don't let on too much. Much talk is ill advised.
The elements of this hexagram are Wood, Fire, and Wood. This is highly productive.
