Chinese astrological I Ching reading: 7/2/16

7/2 is the day of Wood Rooster in the month of Wood Horse. This is a harmonious combination. It favors caring for others, and creative work.
This day is designated as inauspicious and balance.
In general, the day is bad for all important endeavors. It holds dangers of legal entanglements and health problems for the very old and very young.
'Balance' points to marriage, construction, travel, and business negotiations. But, these are weak, and better avoided this day. 'Balance' is bad for starting legal actions, and to get into disputes. It is also bad for burials.
The lunar mansion for today is Liu, Willow. It confirms that this day is not good for any important activity. It advises not to start a new job, open a new business, or close any deals. It also confirms that it is a bad day for burials, and advises against making any significant fengshui adjustments.
Rooster, the sign of this day, is the Star of Romance for Monkey, Rat, and Dragon. If you were born in a year or day of one of these signs, this is a good day for romantic affairs.
If you were born in a year or day of Snake, Rooster, or Ox. this is a good day to make progress in your career.
Rooster favors Ox, Snake, Dragon, and Monkey; is neutral toward Pig, Rat, Tiger, Horse, and Sheep; clashes with Rooster and Rabbit; and is ambivalent toward Dog.
The I Ching hexagram for this day, using the King Wen method, is number 31, line 3.

Hexagram 31 is Xian, Influence. Success. It is time to persevere.

Line 3 advises striving for independence. The zodiac sign of line 3, Monkey, is weak by the element of the season, and, by the element of the hexagram, signifies colleagues, or familiar people. Monkey is in harmony with the signs of changing line, 5, and with the sign of the day, and is neutral toward the sign of the month. It favors patience. The time for action will come. The Wood of Wood Rooster day puts a worm in line 3. If there is an obstacle, take your time.
