Daily Chinese astrological I Ching reading: 10/15/14
10/15 is the day of Earth Sheep in the month of Wood Dog. Earth Sheep favors self-cultivation, and the developing of plans. The combination of Earth Sheep and Wood dog is discordant. It favors practicality and competitiveness, and warns of unanticipated reversals. Conditions may be tricky.
Sheep is the Star of Arts for Pig, Rabbit, and Sheep. If you were born in a year or day of one of these signs, this is a good day for creative, innovative thinking, and artistic work.
If you were born in the year or Monkey, Rat, or Dragon, this is not an auspicious day for important events. Better wait for another day. To mitigate the Shar (potential bad luck) this day can give you, wear something green.
Sheep is in harmony with Sheep, Pig, Rabbit, Horse, and Snake, neutral with Dragon, Monkey, Tiger, and Rooster, and in discord with Ox, Dog, and Rat.
The I Ching hexagram for this day is number 53, line 3.
Hexagram 53 is Development, or Progress. What is small looms up and becomes large. Persevere. This hexagram is good in fall.
Line 3 says beware of thieves. Don't lose faith in times of difficulty. Better learn from your mistakes. The zodiac sign of line 3, Monkey, is in partial harmony with the signs of changing line 5, and is supported by the signs of the day and month, Sheep and Dog. The Earth of Earth Sheep puts a tortoise in line 3, warning of thieves. Play your cards close to the chest. All in all, line 3 encourages positive development despite difficulties.
The elements of this hexagram are Earth, Earth, and Wood. Trees grow up and stand on the earth. Cultivate industriousness.
