Daily Chinese astrological I Ching reading: 10/10/14
10/10 is the day of Wood Tiger in the month of Wood Dog. Wood Tiger is a Star of Prospects. It focuses strongly on financial matters. The combination of Wood Tiger with Wood Dog is dynamic and partially harmonious. It favors taking independent, decisive action, especially in speculative professions.
If you were born in a year or day of Tiger, this is good day to get a lot accomplished.
This is a peak day for you if you were born in a year or day of Rabbit.
If you were born in a year or day of Monkey, Rat, or Dragon, this is a good day for traveling, rearranging your home or work place, and for making a positive move in your career.
Tiger is in harmony with Tiger, Horse, Dog, Pig, Rabbit, and Rat, neutral with Dragon and Sheep, and in various degrees of discord with Monkey, Snake, Rooster, and Ox.
The I Ching hexagram for this day, using the King Wen method, is number 20, line 4.
Hexagram 20 is Contemplation. The ablution has been made, but not the offering. People look to him with trust. Contemplating the effects of your actions on those above and below you shows you the degree of your success. The meaning of this hexagram is good in fall, and is auspicious for those born in the 8th month, the month of August - September.
Line 4 favors taking a broad, universal view. The zodiac sign of line 4, Sheep, is in a position calling for giving support. Demands are being made. Line 4 is in fairly good harmony with the signs of changing lines 1, 3, and 6. Line 4 is neutral with the sign for the day, Tiger, and is in discord with the sign for the month, Dog. The Wood of Wood Tiger puts a snake in line 4. There is something hidden and strange in the matter. It is to your advantage to reflect on needless burdens, and how you let others make unnecessary demands on you, that impede your progress, and let them go.
