Daily Chinese astrological I Ching reading: 11/21/14
11/21 is the day of Fire Monkey in the month of Wood Pig. This is a partly harmonious combination. It favors those who are resourceful, courageous, and competitive. Fire Monkey is smart and hard working, has a thirst for knowledge, and can turn adverse conditions to favorable ones.
If you were born in a year or day of Tiger, Horse, or Dog, this day is good for traveling, arranging your home or work place, and for taking positive steps forward in your career.
If you were born in a year or day of Snake, Horse, or Sheep, this is a good day for working alone and enjoying solitude.
If you were born in a year of Snake, Rooster, or Ox, this is a good day for making your own plans and acting courageously, but try avoid getting into a fight.
If you were born in a year or day of Pig, Rabbit, or Sheep, this is not a good day for important meetings or events. Take advantage of a good opportunity that may come your way, and be on the alert for possibilities of theft, whether of something material or of money, or someone else taking credit for your ideas.
Monkey gets along harmoniously with Monkey, Rat, Dragon, Rooster, and Dog; neutrally with Ox, Rabbit, Horse, and Sheep; and discordantly with Tiger, Snake, and Pig.
The I Ching hexagram for this day, using the King Wen method, is number 49, line 4.
Hexagram 49 is Ge, Revolution. On your day you are believed. Success comes through persevering. Reform the old to the new. Disappointment disappears. This hexagram is good in winter.
Line 4 If you are prepared and in the right position, the time is right for making changes. The zodiac sign of line 4, Pig clashes with the signs of the day and month, both of which are in discord with one another. The Fire of Fire Monkey puts a tiger in line 4. It is fierce. The energy is destructive. Change must happen.
The elements of this hexagram are Water, Fire, and Metal. The sequence is destructive. It calls for reform.
