Daily Chinese astrological I Ching reading: 11/29/14
11/29 is the day of Wood Dragon in the month of Wood Pig. This is a fairly harmonious, and highly intelligent combination that helps alleviate negative influences. It favors such people as teachers, psychics, astrologers, scholars, doctors, researchers, writers, designers, and those others whose work is solitary. It also favors those who are competitive, and it has the power to store up money.
Dragon is the Star of Arts for Monkey, Rat, and Dragon. If you were born in a year or day of any of these three, this is a good day for creative thinking and artistic work.
If you were born in a year or day of Snake, Horse, or Sheep, this is a good day to work alone, and enjoy your solitude.
If you were born in a year of Snake, Rooster, or Ox, this is not a good day for meetings or big events. Wear something black to mitigate shar (bad luck). The energy of the day altogether favors solitude.
Dragon gets along harmoniously with Monkey, Rat, Tiger, Rooster, and sometimes Rabbit; neutrally with Snake, Horse, Sheep, Pig, and Ox; and discordantly with Dragon, Dog, and sometimes Rabbit.
The I Ching hexagram for this day, using the King Wen method, is number 59, line 5.
Hexagram 59 is Huan, or Dispersion. Wind sweeps things away. A boat sails across the water. The king approaches his temple. It is time to cross the great water. It is time to persevere. This hexagram is good in winter.
Line 5 advises to make changes to adapt to changing circumstances. Let go of what hampers you. The zodiac sign of line 5, Snake, is in partial harmony with the signs of changing lines 1, 2, 3, and 4, neutral with the sign for the day, and clashing with the sign for the month. The Wood of Wood Dragon day puts a tiger in line 5. The tiger is fierce and can cause harm. If you try to force things against odds you will meet with misfortune in the end. Be subtle and adaptable instead.
The elements of this hexagram are Fire, Water, and Wood. Vegetation is nourished by the sun and by water. Rely on your natural resources and make adjustments as needed. Growth happens.
