Daily Chinese astrological I Ching reading: 11/24/14
11/24 is the day of Earth Pig in the month of Wood Pig. This is a discordant combination. It favors those who are hard working and use their talents to make money. The combination, in spite of being discordant, is protective, and mitigates negative influences. Earth Pig represents things in a state of germination, just before budding.
If you were born in a year or day of Snake, Rooster, or Ox, this is a good day for reorganizing your home or work place, and for making progress in your career.
If you were born in a year or day of Monkey, Rooster, or Dog, this is a good day if you work alone.
If you were born in a year of Monkey, Rat, or Dragon, this is a good day to making plans, and facing your situation with courage, but not a good day for getting into a quarrel.
If you were born in a year of Tiger, Horse, or Dog, this is not a good day for important meetings or events. To ward off shar (bad luck) wear something green.
Pig gets along harmoniously with Rabbit, Sheep, Tiger, Rat, and Ox; neutrally with Dragon, Horse, Rooster, and Dog; and discordantly with Pig, Snake, and Monkey.
The I Ching hexagram for this day, using the King Wen method, is number 3, line 2.
Hexagram 3 is Tun, or Difficulty in the Beginning. It represents things in a state of germination. Persistence is good. It is good to wait and get helpers, or draw on resources.
Line 2 encourages to let things develop by themselves naturally. The zodiac sign for line 2, Tiger, is in harmony with the signs for the day and month. The Earth in Earth Pig puts a second tiger in line 2. It encourages taking a positive attitude and being productive.
The elements of this hexagram are Water, Wood, and Water. Wood is nourished from all sides. Draw on your resources. Success.
