Daily Chinese astrological I Ching reading: 1/13/15

1/13 is the day of Earth Ox in the month of Fire Rat. This is a strongly harmonious combination. It favors taking chances, and making money, especially through investing, speculating and free-lancing. The combination pf Earth Ox and Fire Rat brings out the stars called Tien Yi and Tien de Gui Ren , both which solve problems and give good fortune. It also brings out Nobleman Star which attracts helpful people, if needed.
Ox is the Star of Arts for Snake, Rooster, and Ox. If you were born in a year or day of one of these signs this is a good day for creative thinking and artistic work.
If you were born in a year or day of Tiger, Rabbit, or Dragon, this is a good day for relying on your self and enjoying solitude.
Ox gets along well with Ox, Snake, Rooster, Rat, and Pig; neutrally with Tiger, Rabbit, Dragon, and Monkey; and problematically with Horse, Sheep, and Dog.
The I Ching hexagram for this day, using the King Wen method, is number 49, line 4.

Hexagram 49 is Ge, Revolution. When your day comes you are believed. Success. It is time to persevere and to get organized. This hexagram is good in winter.

Line 4 says make sure you are prepared if you are going to make changes. The zodiac signs for line 4, Pig and Monkey are in discord with one another, but in harmony with the signs of changing line 3. They are also in harmony with the signs of the day, and month. The Earth of Earth Ox day puts a dragon in line 4. Get organized and act. The dragon is auspicious.

The elements of this hexagram are Water, Fire, and Metal. Before making any meaningful change it is essential to gain insight into yourself.
