Daily Chinese astrological I Ching reading: 1/6/15

1/6 is the day of Water Horse in the month of Fire Rat. This is an entirely discordant combination. It favors those who are competitive and focused on money. The combination brings out Knife Blade Star, that can cause conflicts. It also brings out Yue de Gui Ren Star, or Monthy Virtue Star, that can bring luck. The combination can work for or against you.
Horse is Commanding Star for Tiger, Dog, and Horse. If you were born in a year or day of one of these three signs this is a good day to take initiative to pursue your career aims.
If you were born in  year or day of snake, Rooster, or Snake, Rooster, or Ox this is a good day for entertaining a romantic interest.
Horse gets along well with Dog, Tiger, Snake, and Sheep; neutrally with Monkey, Rooster, Pig, Rabbit, and Dragon; and poorly with Rat, Ox, and Horse.
The I Ching hexagram for this day, using the King Wen method, is number 33, line 2.

Hexagram 33 is Tun, Yielding, or Retreat. Success in persevering in small things. This hexagram is bad in winter.

Line 2 advises to hold to what is superior and right. The zodiac sign of line 2, Horse, is in partial harmony with the signs of changing line 3, and clashes with the signs of the day and month. The Water of Water Horse day puts a dragon in line 2. Take the lead and go forward in face of challenge.

The elements of this hexagram are Metal, Earth, and Metal. Earth generates Metal on all sides. Good spirits are guiding.
