Daily Chinese astrological I Ching reading: 1/14/15

1/14 is the day of Metal Tiger in the month of Fire Rat. This is a partly discordant combination. It favors those who are courageously express their creative, enterprising talents. Metal Tiger is highly intelligent.
Tiger is the Traveling Star for Monkey, Rat, and Dragon. If you were born in a year or day of one of these three signs this is an active day, good for traveling, rearranging your affairs, and moving forward with your plans.
If you were born in a year or day of Pig, Rat, or Ox, this is a good day to rely on yourself and enjoy solitude.
1/14, 1/15, and 1/16 do not favor people born in years of Snake, Rooster, or Ox going to important meetings or events. You may find yourself at a disadvantage and need to watch out that nobody takes unfair advantage of you.
If you were born in a year of Pig, Rabbit, or Sheep, avoid getting into any arguments, but quietly work out your plans.
The I Ching hexagram for this day, using the King Wen method, is number 1, line 6.

Hexagram 1 is Qian, Heaven, or The Creative. Heaven comprehends everything. Qian brings success through persistence. This hexagram is good in winter. In case of illness, this hexagram points to brain, respiratory system, and nervous system.

Line 6 warns against overstepping boundaries. Presumptuousness and arrogance bring misfortune. The zodiac sign of line 6, Dog, is in harmony with the signs of changing lines, 4 and 5, and in harmony with the signs of the day and month. The Metal of Metal Tiger day puts a snake in line 6. Proceed while being aware that there is more than meets the eye, for which reason it is wise to be cautious.

The elements of this hexagram are Metal, Metal, and Metal. Metal is strong. It is boundaries, refinements, perfection, the cutting edge, and justice. Good fortune.
