Daily Chinese astrological I Ching reading: 6/5/15

6/5 is the day of Water Rat in the month of Metal Snake. This is a harmonious combination. It resolves difficulties and gives good luck, and it favors those who are generous and caring.
Rat is the Star of Romance for Pig, Rabbit, and Sheep. If you were born in a year or day of one of these three signs this is a good day for love.
If you were born in a year or day of Monkey, Rat, or Dragon this is a good day to be proactive in your career.
Rat generally favors Rat, Dragon, Monkey, Ox, and Pig; is neutral toward Tiger, Sheep, Rooster, and Dog; clashes with Horse and Rabbit; and can either be good or bad with Sheep depending on circumstances.
The I Ching hexagram for this day, using the King Wen method, is number 18, line 3.

Hexagram 18 is Gu, Decay. Success is possible. It is good to cross the great water. Before you start wait three days. After your start, give it three more days. Renovation is a good idea. This hexagram is good in summer.

Line 3 advises analyzing your own mistakes, but not trying to correct them too forcefully, as doing so would cause an adverse reaction. The zodiac sign of line 3, Rooster, is in harmony with the signs for the day and month. The Water of Water Rat day puts a raven in line 3. Be careful not to precipitate a useless argument.

The elements of this hexagram are Wood, Wood, and Earth. Too much pressure is destructive.
