Chinese astrological I Ching reading: 8/31/16

8/31 is the day of Wood Rooster in the month of Fire Monkey. This is a harmonious combination. It favors diligence, order, and good management of money.
This day is designated as auspicious and remove. A remove day is good for cleansing, getting rid of whatever is undesirable. spiritual practices for getting rid of bad influences, bad spirits, and bad karma, and fengshui practices for space clearing. It is also good for surgical and dental procedures.
The day is also good for landscaping, starting construction, building and new house, making repairs, traveling, and making a distant move.
The lunar mansion for this day is Zhen, or Carriage. It is good for acquisitions, investments, beginning studies, and advises not to travel north.
Rooster, the sign of this day, is the Star of Romance for Monkey, Rat, and Dragon. If you were born in a year or day of one of these three signs, this is a good day for romantic interests.
Rooster is the Command Star for Snake, Rooster, and Ox. If you were born in a year or day of one of these three, this is a good day for making a positive move in your career.
Rooster favors Ox, Snake, Dragon, and Monkey; is neutral toward Pig, Rat, Tiger, Horse, and Sheep; clashes with Rooster and Rabbit; and is ambivalent toward Dog.
The I Ching hexagram for this day, using the King Wen method, is number 16, line 1.

Hexagram 16 is Yu, Joy. It is time to get helpers and set the armies to marching.

Line 1 Action speaks louder than words. The zodiac sign of line 1, Sheep, is weak by the season element, and, by the element of the hexagram, signifies money. Sheep partly clashes with the signs of changing lines, 5 and 6, and is neutral toward the signs of the day and month. A precious stone is found in a thorn bush. Difficulties followed by success. The Wood of Wood Monkey day puts a dragon in line 1. Take positive advantage of all good opportunities today.
