Chinese astrological I Ching reading: 8/7/16

8/7 marks the beginning of Autumn in the Chinese calendar. The element of autumn season is Metal. The three shars, or killing forces, are now in the southern quadrant. It is not advisable to dig up or disturb the ground in the southern quadrant, or to drill holes in the south wall of any property now, as that would bring up harmful energies.
Also, this day is considered dangerous for accidents, especially to children; it is believed, potentially harmful spirits of the dead come up. Traditional people make offerings to the dead.
8/7 is the day of Metal Rooster in the month of Fire Monkey. This is a harmonious combination. It favors creativity and competitiveness, and promotes prosperity. It contains, however, a Knife Blade, warning of impatience and rash actions that could result in injury.
This day is designated dire and remove. It is called a pure direct day, warning of harm. It is bad for any major activity such as construction or marriage.
A remove day is good for getting rid of anything unwanted. It is good for cleaning out the house, doing space clearing in fengshui, doing spiritual exercises to release bad spirits and bad karmas. It is a good day to sweep clean the place.
The lunar mansion this day is Fang, House. It is bad for making investments and getting new clothes. A burial done under this lunar mansion will bring officers and ministers in future generations of the family. This is a good day for prayers.
Rooster, the sign of this day, is the Star of Romance for Monkey, Rat, and Dragon. If you were born in a year or day of one of these three signs, this is a good day for love.
Rooster is the Command Star for Snake, Rooster, and Ox. If you were born under one of these signs, this is a good day for routine work.
Rooster favors Ox, Snake, Monkey, and Dragon; is neutral toward Pig, Rat, Tiger, Horse, and Sheep; clashes with Rooster and Rabbit; and is ambivalent with Dog.
The I Ching hexagram for this day, using the King Wen method, is number 7, line 3.

Hexagram 7 is Shi, the Army. It takes persistence and the work of a strong leader.

Line 3 The army carries dead corpses in the wagon. Bad luck. The zodiac sign of line 3, Horse, is weak by the element of this season, and, by the element of the hexagram, signifies, money. Horse is in harmony with the signs of changing line, 5, and is neutral toward the signs of the day and month. Hardships lead to rewards. The Metal of Metal Rooster day puts a dragon in line 3. The dragon is auspicious. It encourages taking positive action to clear yourself and your space of all negativity now.
