Chinese astrological I Ching reading: 10/24/15

10/24 is the day of Water Rooster in the month of Fire Dog. This is a discordant combination. It is a good sign for those who are in good health, but for those who aren't it is not, and advises to take care of yourself. This combination favors working hard.
Rooster is the Commanding Star for Snake, Rooster, and Ox. If you were born in a year or day of one of these three this is a good day to take command and move forward with your work.
If you were born in a year or day of Monkey, Rat, and Dragon this is a good day for romance.
Rooster generally favors Ox, Snake, Dragon, and Monkey; is neutral toward Pig, Rat, Tiger, Horse, and Sheep; clashes with Rooster and Rabbit; and is either good or bad with Dog depending on circumstances.
The I Ching hexagram for this day, using the King Wen method, is number 59, line 5.

Hexagram 59 is Huan, Dispersion. Wind above, Water below. Success through perseverance. The king approaches his temple. Time to cross the great water. This hexagram is difficult in fall.

Line 5 advises both inner and outer generosity and adjusting to internal and external changes . The zodiac sign for line 5, Snake is somewhat weak by the season, and, by the hexagram represents oneself, and one's relationships with siblings, friends, and colleagues. Snake is in harmony with the signs of the day and month. Relationships are productive. The Water of Water Rooster day puts another snake in line 5. It advises cultivating awareness of others' conditions. Look beyond the surface.
