Chinese astrological I Ching reading: 10/2/15

10/2 is the day of Metal Pig in the month of Wood Rooster. This is a discordant combination. It encourages prosperity and favors independence.
Pig is the Traveling Star for Snake, Rooster, and Ox. If you were born in a year or day of one of these three signs this may be a busy day, good for making headway in your work and traveling.
Pig generally favors Rabbit, Sheep, Tiger, Rat, and Ox; is neutral toward Dragon, Horse, Rooster, and Dog; and clashes with Pig, Snake, and Monkey.
The I Ching hexagram for this day, using the King Wen method, is number 50, line 2.

Hexagram 50 is Ding, the Cauldron. Great good fortune.

Line 2 advises tending to business and not letting your mind wander. The zodiac sign for line 2, Pig, is strong by the season, and, by the hexagram, represents power. Pig is in partial harmony with the signs of changing line, 5, clashes with the sign for the day, and is in harmony with the sign for the month. The Metal of Metal Pig day puts a tortoise in line 2. Success comes with effort. It is advisable to be simple and keep your business to yourself.
