Chinese astrological I Ching reading: 10/31/15

10/31 is the day of Metal Dragon in the month of Fire Dog. These signs clash and denote possibly sudden, unexpected changes. It is also highly dynamic and can support creative activity. It favors research and investigation as well.
Dragon is the Star of Arts for Monkey, Rat, and Dragon. If you were born in a year or day of one of these three this is a good day for creative work.
Dragon generally favors Monkey, Rat, Rooster, and Tiger; is neutral toward Snake, Horse, Sheep, Pig, and Ox; clashes with Dog and Dragon; and is either good or bad with Rabbit depending on circumstances.
The I Ching hexagram for this day, using the King Wen method, is number 1, line 6.

Hexagram 1 is Qian, Heaven. Success comes through perseverance.

Line 6 warns against arrogance. One needs to know when to stop. The signs for line 6, Dog and Sheep clash with one another. This shows stress. By the season, Dog and Sheep are fairly strong. By the hexagram, they represent the ideas of research, giving nourishment and support, education, and providing care. Because of the stress there is a feeling of concern. There are worries. Dog and Sheep for the most part are in harmony with the signs of changing lines, 2 and 3, but clash with the signs of the day and month. Don't take on more than you can handle. The Metal of Metal Dragon day puts a snake in line 6. If something seems strange or odd, don't deal with it. Too much is as bad as too little.
