Daily Chinese astrological I Ching reading: 1/18/15
1/18 is the day of Wood Horse in the month of Fire Rat. This is a partially harmonious combination. It favors giving, accommodating, and caring. Wood Horse can run into trouble in romantic relationships, but, with Fire Rat, can also bring good fortune and money.
Wood Horse is a Peach Blossom Star. It favors social relations.
Horse is the Star of Romance for Snake, Rooster, and Ox. If you were born in a year or day of one of these three signs, this is a good day to focus on romantic relations.
If you were born in a year or day of Tiger, Horse, or Dog, this is a day to focus on your career aims.
Horse gets along well with Dog, Tiger, Sheep, and Snake; neutrally with Monkey, Rooster, Pig, Rabbit, and Dragon; and problematically with Rat, Ox, and Horse.
The I Ching hexagram for this day, using the King Wen method, is number 18, line 3.
Hexagram 18 is Gu, Decay. Success is possible. It is good to cross the great water. Consider carefully what you intend to do. Make a plan. This hexagram is bad in winter.
Line 3 advises being careful and patient when correcting mistakes made in the past. The zodiac signs of line 3, Dog and Horse are in harmony with one another, are in partial harmony with the signs of changing lines 1, 2, 4, and 6, and are in partial discord with the signs of the day and month. The Wood of Wood Horse day puts a worm in line 3. Pay attention to obstacles and hindrances. Be considerate of others.
The elements of this hexagram are Wood, Wood, and Earth. Action is limited by pressures and stresses.
