Daily Chinese astrological I Ching reading: 1/23/15
1/23 is the day of Earth Pig in the month of Fire Ox. This is a harmonious combination. It favors making money, especially independently.
Pig is the Traveling Star for Snake, Rooster, and Ox. If you were born in a year or day of one of these three signs this may be a busy day. It is good for traveling, rearranging your home and/or workplace, and for making positive moves in your career.
1/23, 24, and 25 are not the best days for attending important meetings or events if you were born in a year of Tiger, Horse, or Dog. You are not in a strong position. Watch out for people trying to take unfair advantage of you or making unfair claims. Wear something green to deflect shar (bad luck).
If you were born in a year of Monkey, Rat, or Dragon this is a good day to make plans and to avoid arguments.
Pig gets along well with Rabbit, Sheep, Tiger, Rat, and Ox; neutrally with Dragon, Horse, Rooster, and Dog; and problematically with Snake, Monkey, and Pig.
The I Ching hexagram for this day is number 8, line 3.
Hexagram 8 is Bi, Uniting, or Loyalty. Good fortune if you persevere and hold to a high standard. Those of like mind come together. Those who come too late meet with misfortune.
Line 3 warns of associating with the wrong people. Don't go after people who waste your time. And don't waste your time with people who will not understand you. The zodiac sign for line 3, Rabbit, is in harmony with the signs for the day and month. If you look after yourself you will make money. The Earth of Earth Pig day puts a tortoise in line 3. Don't tell everyone your business.
The elements of this hexagram are Earth, Earth, and Water. Depending on how you see it, it either means you could be in straits and need to be cautious, or that there is a danger of rivalry, or that there is competition for money. In any case, it advises to stay focused and alert.
