Daily Chinese astrological I Ching reading: 9/17/14

9/17 is the day of Metal Rabbit in the month of Water Rooster. This is a highly energetic, partially harmonious, and partially discordant combination that favors independent, creative activity. Use the tension of the day to be productive.
Rabbit gets along with Rabbit, Sheep, Pig, Dog, Tiger, Snake, and Horse, and has varying degrees of discord with Rat, Rooster, Dragon, Monkey, and Ox.
Rabbit brings opportunities of romance to people born in the year or day of Tiger, Horse, and Dog.
Rabbit also gives the command to Sheep, Pig, and Rabbit. People born in the year or day of one of these signs can confidently take a positive step forward in their careers today.
The I Ching hexagram for this day, according to the King Wen method, is number 18, line 3.

Hexagram 18 is Decay, or Correction. Evil cannot go on forever. Success is possible. It is time to cross the great water. Before you start, three days and after you start, three days. This means it needs planning and watching. If you are thinking of renovating, or revising, this is a good time to start.

Line 3 advises to calmly analyze and correct your mistakes. Take time to study the situation before making reforms. The zodiac signs of line 3, being Rooster and Horse, are fairly supported by the signs of changing line, 5. Line 3 is then in partial harmony/discord with the sign for the day, Rabbit, and clashes with the sign for the month, Rooster. This shows gains, but not without a struggle.
The Metal of Metal Rabbit puts a dragon in line 3. This strongly favors taking positive action despite the difficulties that may appear.

The elements of this hexagram are Wood, Wood, and Earth. It warns against letting pressures build up. Don't procrastinate.
