Daily Chinese astrological I Ching reading: 9/3/14

9/3 is the day of Fire Ox in the month of Water Rooster. This is a dangerous combination. Called danger by circles, it reverses things, or turns things around. Fire Ox with Water Rooster calls for bold, decisive actions, especially in areas of finances. Calculated risks may work. But, if you don't know what you are doing, or are up to no good, you could fall. Ox harmonizes with Ox, Snake, Rooster, Rat, Dragon, Monkey, and Pig. Ox has discord with Sheep, Horse, Dog, Tiger, and Rabbit. The Fire of Fire Ox brings out the Star of Arts for Ox, Snake, and Rooster. People born in the year or day of Ox, Snake, or Rooster are favored if they think inventively.
The hexagram for this day, according to the King Wen method, is number 43, line 5.

Hexagram 43 is Breakthrough. It is time to take a stand; to declare yourself; resolutely and truthfully make things known; give of your talents. This hexagram is fortunate in fall. We are in Chinese fall season. It shows evil being driven out. Act decisively.

Line 5 advises being thorough and forthright in getting rid of negative influences. The zodiac sign of line 5, Rooster, is strongly supported by the signs of line 1, the changing line, and is in harmony with the sign of the day, but fights with the sign of the month, Rooster. It says that, going confidently forward, you may encounter conflict. Face it and settle your scores. The Fire of Fire Ox puts a tortoise in line 5. Beware of theft, or of someone or an organization dishonestly trying to get money out of you.

The elements of the hexagram, Earth, Metal, and Metal say that success is at hand.
