Daily Chinese astrological I Ching reading: 9/30/14

9/30 is the day of Wood Dragon in the month of Wood Dog. This is a dynamic, tense, and potentially violent combination. It focuses strongly on money, and supports independence and acquisitiveness. Beware of greed and intolerance, however.
Dragon is in harmony with Monkey, Rat, Rooster, Sheep, Snake, Horse, Ox, and Pig. and in discord with Dragon, Dog, Rabbit, and Tiger.
If you were born in a year or day of Monkey, Rat, or Dragon this is a good day for creative, or artistic work.
The I Ching hexagram for this day, using the King Wen method, is number 41, line 3.

Hexagram 41 is Decrease. Decrease brings good fortune if there is sincerity. Let go of anger and control your desires. Action is advantageous if you are firm, and correct in your aim.

Line 3 advises against ostentation and boasting, as that attracts envy and danger of theft. The zodiac sign of line 3 is in harmony with the signs of changing line 1, and with the signs for the day and month, Dragon and Dog. At the same time, the Wood of Wood Dragon puts a worm in line three. This says that, with due caution, action is strongly supported.

The elements of this hexagram are Earth, Metal, and Earth. Gold is in the earth. Profits lie ahead.
