Chinese astrological I Ching reading: 12/20/14

12/20 is the day of Wood Ox in the month of Wood Pig. This is a harmonious combination, and it favors those who are independent, hard working and resourceful. It favors behind the scenes research and psychic reading. The combination, while not very strong, brings out the Star of Benevolence. Star of Benevolence is down to earth, and practical. It gives good fortune, and helps to mitigate whatever negative influences there may be.
Ox is the Star of Arts for Snake, Rooster, and Ox. If you were born in a year or day of one of these three signs, this is a good time for creative, artistic activity.
Ox gets along well with Ox, Snake, Rooster, Pig, and Rat; moderately well with Tiger, Rabbit, Dragon, and Monkey; and with some difficulty with Horse, Sheep, and Dog.
The I Ching hexagram for this day, using the King Wen method, is number 55, line 5.

Hexagram 55 is Feng, Prosperity. Thunder is above, lightning is below. This is good in springtime, not so good in winter. Be as bright as the sun at noon. Don't be sad. Make your decision and act.

Line 5 says to use the best help for the best results. The zodiac sign for line 5, Monkey, is in partial harmony with the signs for changing line, 3. It is in harmony with the sign for the day, and in discord with the sign for the month. The Wood of Wood Ox day puts a tiger in line 5. Acting on blind assumptions, and using the wrong people will cause trouble. On the other hand, where there is discord, and you act wisely and boldly, and get the right help, you will succeed.

The elements of this hexagram are Water, Fire, and Wood. The elements are in confusion. Order will return.
