Daily Chinese astrological I Ching reading: 12/19/14

12/19 is the day of Wood Rat in the month of Wood Pig. This is a most harmonious combination. It favors those who are resourceful, hard working, and independent. It is a good day for research and psychic work. Wood Rat is also good for love and pleasure. The combination of Wood Rat and Wood Pig promotes prosperity, good fortune, protection, and kindness. Good spirits abound.
Rat is the Star of Romance for Pig, Rabbit, and Sheep. If you were born in a year or day of one of these three signs this is a good day for romance and love.
If you were born in a year or day of Monkey, Rat, or Dragon, this is a good day to take charge and move positively forward in your area of interest, be it personal or professional.
Rat gets along positively with Rat, Dragon, Monkey, Pig, Ox, and sometimes Sheep; neutrally with Tiger, Snake, Rooster, and Dog; and negatively with Rabbit, Horse, and sometimes Sheep.
The I Ching hexagram for this day, using the King Wen method, is number 57, line 6.

Hexagram 57 is Sun, or Wind. Wind above, wind below. When wind blows grass bends. Good deeds by superior persons are imitated by the people. Success comes though small gestures. It is time to see the great person and to be active. This hexagram is good in winter.

Line 6 advises to act decisively. The zodiac signs for line 6, Rabbit and Rat, clash with one another, are in partial harmony with the signs of changing line 1, in partial harmony with the sign for the day, and in full harmony with the sign for the month. The Wood of Wood Rat day puts a tortoise in line 6. If there are some difficulties in the way of your progress, don't complain; keep them to yourself. You will have success in the end.

The elements of this hexagram are Wood, Wood, and Wood. Wood is strong. The east, and the color green is favored. Help and friends come from many directions.
