Daily Chinese astrological I Ching reading: 12/22/14

12/22 is the day of Fire Rabbit in the month of Fire Rat. This is the first day of the month of Fire Rat.
Rat harmonizes with Rat, Dragon, Monkey, Pig, Ox, and sometimes Sheep; is neutral with Tiger, Snake, Rooster, and Dog; and clashes with Rabbit, Horse, and sometimes Sheep.
Fire Rat can cause problems in relationships, especially in marriage and with in-laws, but is the Star of Romance for Pig, Rabbit, and Sheep. If you were born in a year or day of one of these three signs, make the most of this lunar month by being socially active.
Rat is also the Commanding Star for Monkey, Rat, and Dragon. If you were born in a year or day of one of these three, this will be a good month for you to develop your career.
The combination of Fire Rabbit and Fire Rat favors those who are independent and like to take the lead.
Rabbit favors Rabbit, Sheep, Pig, Tiger, Dog, and sometimes Dragon; is neutral with Snake, Horse, Monkey, and Ox; and clashes with Rat, Rooster, and sometimes Dragon.
Rabbit is the Star of Romance for Tiger, Horse, and Dog. If you were born in a year or day of one of these signs, today is a good day for romantic adventures.
If you were born in a year or day of Pig, Rabbit, or Sheep, today is a good day for taking positive action in your career as well as in your social affairs.
The I Ching hexagram for this day, using the King Wen method, is number 32, line 3.

Hexagram 32 is Heng, Duration, or Constancy. The cycle of perpetually changing elements produces everything. It is good to persevere and be active.

Line 3 advises not to vacillate. Make up your mind. Stay constant. The zodiac sign of line 3, Rooster, is in harmony with the signs of changing line 1, clashes with the sign for the day, and is in harmony with the sign for the month. The Fire of Fire Rabbit puts a snake in line 3. Perseverance bears fruit. Root out negative, self-defeating thoughts.

The elements of this hexagram are Wood, Wood, and Wood. The east is favored. The east symbolizes growth. Friends and helpers come from all directions.
