Daily Chinese astrological I Ching reading: 12/9/14

12/9 is the day of Wood Tiger in the month of Wood Pig. This is a strongly harmonious combination. It favors those who are resourceful, independent, and focused on money. It is good for free-lancers and entrepreneurs. This combination alleviates negative influences and brings luck. Wood Horse is a Star of Prospects. It promotes prosperity.
Horse is the Traveling Star for Monkey, Rat, and Dragon. If you were born in a year or day of one of these three signs, this is a good day for traveling, rearranging your home or work space, and for taking a positive step forward in your career.
If you were born in a year or day of Pig, Rabbit, or Sheep, this is a good day to look into the future and make plans, but a bad day for getting into an argument with anyone.
If you were born in a year of Snake, Rooster, or Ox 12/9, 10, and 11 are not favorable for going to important meetings or events. Be careful you don't let others take unfair advantage of you. On the other hand, take advantage of any opportunity that comes your way.
Tiger gets along harmoniously with Tiger, Horse, Dog, Pig, Rabbit, and Dragon; neutrally with Sheep, Rooster, Rat, and Ox; and discordantly with Snake and Monkey.
The I Ching hexagram of this day, using the King Wen method, is number 33, line 2.

Hexagram 33 is Tun, or Withdrawal, or Yielding. Persisting in small matters is favorable. Shun evil and follow the Way. This hexagram is bad in winter. Avoid quarrels.

Line 2 advises to cooperate with those above and below, and to persevere in the good. The zodiac signs of line 2, Horse and Tiger, are in harmony with one another, in partial harmony with the signs of changing line 1, and in harmony with the signs for the day and month. The Wood of Wood Tiger day puts a raven in line 2. While progress can be made, petty annoyances can come up.

The elements of this hexagram are Metal, Earth, and Metal. The forces of generation are strong. Trust in the good spirits guiding now.
