Daily Chinese astrological I Ching reading: 12/6/14

12/6 is the day of Metal Pig in the month of Wood Pig. While this is a clashing combination, it favors artists and lovers, and it brings money luck. Both Metal and Wood Pigs are highly intelligent. And while they attract money and good fortune, they can worry excessively whenever there is any hindrance or obstacle. The combination is not the most patient.
Pig is the Traveling Star for Snake, Rooster, and Ox. If you were born in a year or day of one of these three, this is a good day for traveling, rearranging your home or work place, and for taking a positive step forward in your career.
If you were born in a year of Tiger, Horse, or Dog, 12/6, 7, and 8 are not the best for attending important meetings or events. Be on the look out for opportunities, but watch out that someone doesn't take unfair advantage of you.
If you were born in the year of Monkey, Rat, or Dragon, this is a good time for making plans, but a bad time to get into an argument.
Pig gets along harmoniously with Rabbit, Sheep, Rat, Ox, and Tiger; neutrally with Dragon, Horse, Rooster, and Dog; and discordantly with Pig, Snake, and Monkey.
The I Ching hexagram for this day, using the King Wen method, is number 2, line 6.

Hexagram 2 is Kun, The Earth. The earth supports and contains everything. It brings success through persistence. If you try to take the lead you will get lost. If you follow you will find the guidance you need.

Line 6 warns that leading today, unless directed to do so, may lead to failure. The zodiac signs for line 6, Rooster and Tiger are in conflict with one another, denoting some confusion, but are in harmony with the sign for the day and month. The Metal of Metal Pig day puts a snake in line 6. There is a hidden danger. Do not entertain doubts, but move forward according to already established lines.

The elements of this hexagram are Earth, Earth, and Earth. Pay attention to your foundations, and to the past generations for guidance.
