Daily Chinese astrological I Ching reading: 4/2/15

4/2 is the day of Earth Monkey in the month of Earth Rabbit. This is a harmonious combination. It favors hard work.
Earth Monkey may cause trouble in relationships, but has the ability to turn turn bad situations around to good.
Monkey is the Traveling Star for Tiger, Horse, and Dog. If you were born in a year or day of one of these three signs this may be a busy day, good for moving forward and making progress in work.
Monkey is a favorable sign for people born in a year, month, day, or hour of Monkey, Rat, Dragon, Rooster, or Dog; neither good nor bad for people born under Ox, Rabbit, Horse, or Sheep; and a challenge to people born under Pig, Tiger, or Snake.
The I Ching hexagram for this day, using the King Wen method, is number 51, line 6.

Hexagram 51 is Zhen, Thunder. Thunder startles. People laugh nervously. It terrifies things for a hundred miles around, yet he does not drop the sacrificial spoon and bowl. This signifies concentration. This hexagram is good in spring.

Line 6 advises dealing calmly with things no matter how bad they become. Reacting can worsen them. The zodiac signs for line 6, Dog and Snake, are in a neutral relation to one another, partly clash with the signs of changing line 1, partly clash with the sign of the day, and are harmonious with the sign for the month. The Earth of Earth Dog day puts a raven in line 6. Avoid quarreling.

The elements of this hexagram are Wood, Wood, and Wood. The power of growth is strong. Friendly helpers are coming.
