Daily Chinese astrological I Ching reading: 4/16/15

4/16 is the day of Water Dog in the month of Earth Rabbit. This is a discordant combination. It favors those who work hard to express their creative talents.
Water Dog is a very strong, dynamic, and commanding sign. It strives to get its way, but runs the risk of trouble in relationships.
Dog is the Star of Arts for Tiger, Horse, and Dog. If you were born in a year or day of one of these three signs, this is a good day to apply yourself to creative work.
Dog generally favors people born in a year, month, day, or hour of Tiger, Horse, Dog, Rabbit, or Monkey; is neither good nor bad for people born under Pig, Rat, or Snake; is a challenge to people born under Dragon, Ox, or Sheep; and is either good or bad for people born under Rooster, depending on circumstances.
The I Ching hexagram for this day, using the King Wen method, is number 14, line 3.

Hexagram 14 is Dayou, Great Possession. The sun shines in the heavens. Great possession means success. This hexagram is good in spring.

Line 3 says the superior person knows how to succeed. The petty person does not. The zodiac signs of line 3, Dragon and Ox are in harmony, but clash with the signs of the day and month. The Water of Water Dog day puts a raven in line 3. Making vain assumptions may cause arguments.

The elements of this hexagram are Metal, Metal, and Fire. Be patient and willing to act in the right time.
