Daily Chinese astrological I Ching reading: 5/1/15

5/1 is the day of Fire Ox in the month of Metal Dragon. This is a partly discordant combination. It favors those who use their talents to make money.
Ox is the Star of Art for Snake, Rooster, and Ox. If you were born in a year or day of one of these three signs, this is a good day for creative activity.
Ox generally favors Ox, Snake, Rooster, Rat, and Pig; is neutral toward Tiger, Rabbit, Dragon, and Monkey; and clashes with Horse, Sheep, and Dog. Sheep overpowers Ox.
The I Ching hexagram for this day, using the King Wen method, is number 35, line 4.

Hexagram 35 is Jin, Advancing. The powerful prince is honored with large numbers of horses, and receives an audience with the king three times in a single day. This hexagram is good in spring.

Line 4 advises not to overlook the need for caution. Do not try to advance too fast. The zodiac sign of line 4, Tiger is in harmony with the signs of changing lines 1 and 2, and with the signs for the day and month. But, The Fire of Fire Ox day puts a tiger in line 4. Trying to force matters can cause harm and injury. Don't do it.

The elements of this hexagram are Metal, Earth, and Fire. Return to simplicity.
