Daily Chinese astrological I Ching reading: 4/19/15

4/19 is the day of Wood Ox in the month of Metal Dragon. This is the first day of the month of Metal Dragon. Metal Dragon is one of the most powerful signs. It is commanding and highly motivated.
The combination of Wood of with Metal Dragon is harmonious. It favors wealth and generosity.
Ox is the Star of Arts for Snake, Rooster, and Ox. If you were born in a year or day of one of these three signs this is a good day for creative work.
Ox generally favors those born in a year, month, day, or hour of Ox, Snake, Rooster, Rat, or Pig; is neutral toward Tiger, Rabbit, Dragon, and Monkey; and clashes with Horse, Sheep, and Dog.
The I Ching hexagram for this day, using the King Wen method, is number 2, line 6.

Hexagram 2 is Kun, The Earth. Success comes through cultivating the strength of a mare. It is better to follow than to lead. Joining with friends is better than standing alone. Persistence leads to good fortune.

Line 6 warns against overstepping limits and crossing boundaries. The zodiac sign for line 6, Rooster, is in harmony with the signs for the day and month. The Wood of Wood Ox puts a tortoise. It helps to be discreet.

The elements of this hexagram are Earth, Earth, and Earth. It is best to yield. If the foundation is strong the house is secure. Reflect on the gifts and lessons of your ancestors.
