Daily Chinese astrological I Ching reading: 4/7/15

4/7 is the day of Water Ox in the month of Earth Rabbit. This is a discordant combination. If favors those who work hard at developing their talent. It also helps resolve problems, brings good luck, and can take positive advantage of difficult situations.
Ox is the Star of Arts for Snake, Rooster, and Ox. If you were born in a year or day of one of these three signs this is a good day for creative work.
Ox generally favors those born in a year, month, day, or hour of Ox, Snake, Rooster, Rat, and Pig; is indifferent to those born under Tiger, Rabbit, Dragon, and Monkey; and challenges challenges those born under Horse, Sheep, and Dog.
The I Ching Hexagram for this day, using the King Wen method, is number 48, line 5.

Hexagram 48 is Jing, The Well. The town can be changed, but the well remains the same. It neither increases nor decreases. People draw from it. If you get down almost to the water and the rope is not long enough, or if your jug breaks, bad luck. This hexagram is bad in spring.

Line 5 advises giving and receiving freely. The zodiac sign of line 5, Dog, clashes with the sign of the day, but is in harmony with the sign of the month. The Water of Water Ox day puts a snake in line 5. If you deal intelligently with the challenge you will be productive.

The elements of this hexagram are Wood, Wood, and Water. A river flows through the forest. There is nourishment and support.
