Chinese astrological I Ching reading: 1/11/16

1/11 is the day of Water Dragon in the month of Earth Ox. This is a discordant combination. It brings out the deity of proper authority, favoring those who are trustworthy, law abiding, moral, rational, responsible, disciplined, and forthright.
Dragon is the Star of Art for Monkey, Rat, and Dragon. If you were born in a year or day of one of these three signs, this is a good day for creative thinking and work.
Dragon generally favors Monkey, Rat, Rooster, and Tiger; is neutral toward Snake, Horse, Sheep, Pig, and Ox; clashes with Dragon and Dog; and is ambivalent toward Rabbit.
The I Ching hexagram for this day, using the King Wen method, is number 48, line 5.

Hexagram 48 is Jing, the Well. The town can be changed but not the well. It neither increases nor decreases. People come and go to draw from it. If you get down almost to the water and your rope is not long enough, or the jug breaks, bad luck.

Line 5 The well is clear. Everyone can drink. The zodiac sign of line 5, Dog, is weak by the season, and, by the hexagram, signifies money. Dog is partly in discord with the signs of changing lines, 2, 3, 4, and 6, is in harmony with the sign of the day, but clashes with the sign of the month. Effort is needed. The Water of Water Dragon day puts a snake in line 5. Pay attention to details and look beneath the surface of things.
