Chinese astrological I Ching reading for 1/19/16

1/19 is the day of Metal Rat in the month of Earth Ox. This is a harmonious combination. It brings out the deity of Primary Resources, favoring those who are benevolent, giving, caring, and able to endure hardships. It gives good fortune, and inclines to peace. This combination is very fortunate, and helps resolve difficulties and problems.
Rat is the Star of Romance for Pig, Rabbit, and Sheep. If you were born in a year or day of one of these three signs, this is a good day for love.
If you were born in a year or day of Monkey, Rat, or Dragon, this is a good day to make progress in your career aims.
Rat favors Rat, Dragon, Monkey, Ox, and Pig; is neutral toward Tiger, Snake, Rooster, and Dog; clashes with Rabbit and Horse; and is ambivalent toward Sheep.
The I Ching hexagram for this day, using the King Wen method, is number 40, line 2.

Hexagram 40 is Jie, Deliverance. Tensions are easing. If there is nowhere you have to go, it is good to return. If you have someplace to go, it is good to hasten, and finish what needs to be finished.

Line 2 says you kill three foxes in the field and receive a golden arrow. This means you conquer your ignorance, greed, and anger, and are rewarded with a clear course along the middle way. It is a very high attainment. The zodiac signs of line 2 are Dragon and Snake. Dragon is empty. Dragon and Snake are weak by the season, and, by the hexagram they say it is better to be generous than to want. Dragon and Snake are in harmony with the signs of changing line, 6, and with the signs of the day and month. There is nothing to stop you. The Metal of Metal Rat day puts a tortoise in line 2. Do not make a big display of your magnanimity. The tortoise is secretive. The spirit of this configuration is to give anonymous gifts.
