Chinese astrological I Ching reading: 1/16/16

1/16 is the day of Fire Rooster in the month of Earth Ox. This is a harmonious combination. It brings out deity of Implicit Talent who favors all talent related professions.
Rooster is the Star of Romance for Monkey, Rat, and Dragon. If you were born in a year or day of one of these three signs, this is a good day for romance.
Rooster is the Commanding Star for Snake, Rooster, and Ox. If you were born in a year or day of one of these signs, this is a good day to take charge and move forward with your work.
Rooster generally favors Ox, Snake, Dragon, and Monkey; is neutral toward Pig, Rat, Tiger, Horse, and Sheep; clashes with Rooster and Rabbit; and is ambivalent toward Dog.
The I Ching hexagram for this day, using the King Wen method, is number 47, line 1.

Hexagram 47 is Kun, Oppression. Perseverance brings success. The superior person brings good fortune. No blame. When you have something to say, no one listens. This hexagram is bad in winter. It advises self reliance.

Line 1 advises against becoming discouraged. The zodiac sign for line 1, Tiger, is strong by the season, and, by the hexagram, represents money, or that which you want to get. Tiger clashes with the signs of changing line, 5, and is neutral toward the signs of the day and month. There is some cause for frustration. Financial outlook is somewhat troubled. The Fire of Fire Rooster day puts a raven in line 1. Avoid dealing with anyone who scraps for a fight, or is in a quarrelsome mood.
