Chinese astrological I Ching reading: 1/9/16

1/9 is the day of Metal Tiger in the month of Earth Rat. This is a harmonious combination. It favors creative, fast learners.
Tiger is the Traveling Star for Monkey, Rat, and Dragon. If you were born in a year or day of one of these three signs this is a good day to make changes in your work, rearrange your home, move, and travel.
Tiger favors Tiger, Horse, Dog, Rabbit, Dragon, and Pig; is neutral toward Sheep, Rooster, Rat, and Ox; and clashes with Snake and Monkey.
The I Ching hexagram for this day, using the King Wen method, is number 20, line 4.

Hexagram 20 is Guan, Contemplation. The ablution has been poured, and the offering has yet to be made. The people look up to him with trust. There is a sense of expectation in this.

Line 4 advises being alert. The zodiac sign of line 4, Sheep, is empty. It's activity is unreliable. Sheep is weak by the season, but, because it is empty, it can act unpredictably. Sheep, by the hexagram, represents support, but, because it is empty, is not giving support; in fact, it is doing the opposite. Sheep is in partial harmony and discord with the signs of changing line, 6, and with the signs of the day and month. The situation looks tricky. Someone is not to be trusted. The Metal of Metal Tiger day puts a raven in line 4. A fight can break out. be vigilant.
